Day XXVII . Free Range Salsa
A glorious bout of fall weather has swept into west LA. If I close my eyes to block out the palm trees, I can almost hear oak leaves rustling on the ground. On a walk in my neighborhood, a *gasp* deciduous tree - with changing leaves no less! - made me nearly choke on my heart. I wore an Irish wool sweater all weekend and couldn’t have been happier for it.

Life is good on the corner of 6th and Brooks. It’s noon and the little pink stucco house is quiet because everyone is at work.
JK! The house is quiet because everyone is still sleeping off the epic all night bender they were on last night - that they are on every night. For number 904 is home to the warmest hearted, hardest partying, so called Baron of Venice: Brian Crain, aka DJ Lou E. Bagels.

Day V . They Say the Darndest Things…
You’ve got one last chance to get Jesus in you life!! One last chance! - Drive by shouting perpetrated against yours truly by a middle aged woman on 6th Ave. In all honesty, my first though was wondering how long that chance lasted.

Day II . Venice the Menice
Much better compared to yesterday’s bawl fest. Upon arrival in my new, pink and utterly empty room circa 11:18 am PST, Wednesday October 27th, 2010, I promptly ditched my suitcase and had a good sob. If you want to know more what that looked like, look no further (thanks to Nikhil for that gem).
